Phyu Hninn Nyein
Phyu Hninn Nyein is head of operations for Proximity Designs in Yangon. Before she became COO at Proximity, one of the best-known social enterprises in Yangon, she was general manager of its agricultural outreach service to smallholder farmers to provide advisory and diagnostics services that promote best-fit and climate-smart farming knowledge. What are the challenges to smallholder farmers in Myanmar? How is Myanmar’s upcoming election viewed in the rural areas of the country? Hninn will address those topics and answer questions on this Zoom event. She serves on the boards of both the Pre-Collegiate Program of Yangon and of the Myanmar Foundation for Analytic Education, and she holds bachelor degrees in mathematics and biology and a masters in biostatistics. She received a post-graduate diploma in strategy and innovation at Said Business School, University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
